Creating a HeroMod is part art, part science
Before your HeroMod is put into its capsule and delivered to your door, a lot has to happen! The first part of the process is done digitally. Our trained designers take your photos, and model the face into 3D on a computer. Then, they tweak the colouring to ensure the colours perfectly match your photos. After this, the hair is added – this is one of the most important parts of the process, and getting the hair right ensures the HeroMod looks just like its human. The last part of the digital process is adding the body, using the colours and costume chosen.
The next stage is the 3D printing phase, which takes several hours. HeroMods are printed from gypsum powder layer by layer, so once they’ve come out of the printer, they must be brushed and cleaned. Following this, your HeroMod is sealed within a cyanoacrylate glue (superglue) to strengthen and bring up the vibrancy of the colours – this process ensures your HeroMod can be admired for years to come! The final step is gently patting dry the HeroMod, and leaving to dry for another two hours.
It’s a detailed, timely process that ensures HeroMods are the most lifelike figurines on the market.
